Medical Resources Group’s radiology practice in Midrand is hiring a dedicated Receptionist to welcome patients and manage front-desk operations. The role requires handling registrations, data capture, and medical aid verifications with a patient‑focused approach.

The ideal candidate has strong radiology reception experience, familiarity with PACS/HIMS, and knowledge of ICD-10 codes, enabling efficient interactions with doctors and radiographers and accurate administrative processing.

Qualifications

• Extensive radiology reception experience in a clinical setting.
• Minimum 3 years' customer service or receptionist experience within the medical industry.
• Experience with PACS and HIMS systems.
• Familiarity with Pantheon practice management software advantageous.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 codes and accurate data capture.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and receive patients in a friendly, professional, and compassionate manner.
• Direct patients to the relevant departments, including radiographers and sonographers.
• Capture patient details and relevant procedures accurately on the practice management system.
• Verify and update patient information, including identity numbers, contact details, email addresses, etc.
• Confirm medical aid benefits before procedures and assist with authorisations.
• Liaise with doctors, radiographers, and billing staff to ensure smooth information flow.
• Ensure payments due are collected upfront and document transactions correctly.
