Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Property Development, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 6+ years of property development project management experience.
• Proven track record delivering residential and/or commercial developments.
• Strong knowledge of development processes, construction methodologies, and regulations.
• Excellent budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting skills.

About the Role

Our client, a reputable real estate development company known for its quality projects, is looking for a seasoned Property Development Manager to oversee projects in the Upington, Northern Cape region. This role involves managing all aspects of the property development process, from site acquisition and feasibility studies to design, planning, construction management, and project handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, a solid understanding of construction and development regulations, and excellent stakeholder management abilities. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the entire lifecycle of property development projects from inception to completion.
• Identify and evaluate potential development sites and opportunities in and around Upington.
• Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies, market research, and financial analysis for new developments.
• Oversee land acquisition, negotiation, and due diligence processes.
• Manage the design and planning phases, coordinating with architects, engineers, and other consultants.
• Secure necessary permits and approvals from local authorities.
• Appoint and manage contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the construction process.
• Monitor project progress, budget, and quality control to ensure adherence to project plans.
• Liaise with stakeholders, including investors, government officials, and community representatives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Property Development, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in property development project management.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering residential and/or commercial development projects.
• Strong understanding of development processes, construction methodologies, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting.
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project) and familiar with relevant industry tools.
• Exceptional negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders effectively.
• Familiarity with the property market and development landscape in the Northern Cape.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to undertake site visits and travel within the region.
