About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Property Development Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of development projects in and around Klerksdorp . This critical role involves managing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and local authorities, while also managing stakeholder relationships and mitigating risks. This position offers the chance to shape the built environment in the North West province and drive significant value through strategic development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of property development projects, including site acquisition, feasibility studies, design, and construction.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
• Appoint and manage external consultants, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
• Liaise with local government bodies and planning authorities to secure necessary approvals and permits.
• Oversee the construction process, ensuring quality control and adherence to safety standards.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing challenges to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Property Development, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in property development project management.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of planning regulations, building codes, and construction methodologies in South Africa .
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within the Klerksdorp or broader North West region is advantageous.
