Overview

Join our team at Exxaro as a Project Manager in Lephalale, Limpopo, South Africa, and lead exciting new initiatives within our Grootegeluk Coal business unit. This temporary role involves directing and managing project development, from planning to execution, within the Portfolio Management Office. You will ensure customer satisfaction by proactively managing changes in project scope, and risks, while adhering to best practices and legal compliances such as MHSA, MPRDA, and OHSA. Your key responsibilities will include auditing project progress, implementing effective people management strategies, ensuring optimal financial and resource management, and maintaining rigorous compliance and governance standards. We\'re looking for a professional with at least six to eight years of project management experience within an Information Technology or Industrial environment. A Bachelor\'s Degree in a relevant field and a project management certificate are essential, while further qualifications are advantageous. Duties & Responsibilities

• Direct and manage project development phases, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets while meeting strategic business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations such as MHSA, MPRDA, and OHSA, implementing safeguards to uphold legal and quality standards.
• Conduct regular audits to assess project progress, compliance, and alignment with corporate governance standards, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, resource allocation strategies, and risk management protocols to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment and supporting professional development opportunities.
• Supervise the operational aspects of projects, ensuring objectives are met in alignment with agreed service delivery agreements.
• Manage financial resources effectively, optimising budget utilisation and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor\'s Degree in a relevant field (Essential/Minimum)
