Placements24 is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor for a Bloemfontein-based manufacturing site. You will oversee production operations on assigned shifts, ensuring targets are met, quality is maintained, and the shift team runs efficiently.

A strong leader with process knowledge and a commitment to safety is essential. You will monitor line performance, train staff, enforce SOPs, and coordinate with management to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum supervisory experience in manufacturing or production.
• Knowledge of production processes and equipment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights/weekends.
• Familiarity with health and safety protocols in manufacturing.
• Ability to use basic computer systems.
• Based in Bloemfontein or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate production staff during shifts.
• Meet production targets according to schedule and quality specs.
• Monitor machine operations and address issues to prevent downtime.
• Train and guide team on procedures and safety guidelines.
• Enforce company policies on the shop floor.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure standards are met.
• Maintain shift records and submit reports.
• Promote a safe working environment and compliance with regulations.
• Communicate with other supervisors and management about shift operations.
