Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Production Supervisor to oversee day-shift operations in Randburg, Gauteng. You will lead a team of production staff, ensure targets are met safely and with high quality, and drive continuous improvement across the line.

You will manage daily workflow, coach staff, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with quality and maintenance to resolve issues. A proactive approach and strong leadership are essential in this fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in production supervision or team lead role in manufacturing.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in manufacturing.
• Proficient with production software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily activities of the production team to ensure efficient and timely output.
• Monitor production performance, quality, and safety standards, intervening as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Provide training, guidance, and motivation to production staff.
• Manage production schedules and allocate resources effectively.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues, implementing corrective actions promptly.
• Collaborate with quality control and maintenance to resolve cross-functional challenges.
• Maintain production records and generate reports on KPIs.
• Foster a positive and productive team environment and promote teamwork.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
