Placements24 in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to design, implement, and refine manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency, quality, and safety in a demanding industrial setting.

You will analyze production challenges, lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, develop SOPs, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on new machinery to keep production running smoothly and safely.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 4 years in a manufacturing engineering role focused on process optimization.
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred), and SPC.
Proficiency with CAD software and production planning/control systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to translate data into improvements.
Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize processes for new and existing product lines.
Analyze production data to identify defects, inefficiencies, and safety concerns.
Implement lean/Six Sigma to reduce waste and improve workflow.
Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on machinery selection, installation, and commissioning.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot manufacturing lines.
