Placements24 seeks a seasoned Plant Operations Manager to lead a Richards Bay manufacturing plant. This senior role oversees production, maintenance, safety, and logistics, driving efficiency, profitability, and best practices across the site.

You will guide a diverse team, shape operational strategy, and ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards while delivering budgeted targets and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in plant management or senior operations roles within the manufacturing sector.
Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Excellent leadership, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production, cost, and quality targets.
Manage and optimize all plant processes, including production, inventory, and supply chain.
Ensure the plant operates in full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Lead, mentor, and develop the plant management team and hourly workforce.
Oversee the plant's budget, managing costs and identifying areas for savings.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of operational excellence.
