Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Process Engineer to support our client’s Paarl operation. You will optimize production lines, troubleshoot deviations, and drive continuous improvement in a chemical/food processing environment.
The ideal candidate has a chemical engineering degree and 3–5 years’ experience, strong problem-solving, and solid teamwork. On-site role with medical aid and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years experience in process engineering or manufacturing support in chemical/food processing.
- Solid understanding of chemical engineering unit operations and process control.
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with process simulation software is a plus.
- On-site in Paarl, Western Cape.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze production processes to identify and resolve issues.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Develop and update SOPs for plant operations.
- Assist with equipment malfunctions and process upsets.
- Conduct process validation and qualification activities.
- Support QA to ensure compliance with specs and standards.
- Assist in process hazard analyses and safe operating practices.
