Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Chemical Process Engineer to join our Paarl operations. The role combines office-based data analysis with hands-on involvement in the plant environment to optimize chemical manufacturing processes while upholding safety standards.

You will work with production, maintenance, and quality control to ensure efficiency, product quality, and regulatory compliance in the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 3-5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or process engineering.
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and heat transfer.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze process performance data to identify trends and deviations.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting process upsets and equipment malfunctions.
• Contribute to safety procedures and Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs).
• Develop and implement process modifications to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Prepare technical reports and updates to P&IDs and PFDs.
