Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Chemical Engineer for our client in Paarl, Western Cape. You will support manufacturing operations, troubleshoot day-to-day process issues, and implement incremental improvements to sustain high productivity and quality.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, at least 3 years in a chemical manufacturing environment, and solid problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years in chemical manufacturing or operations.
• Strong understanding of chemical processes and unit operations.
• Hands-on troubleshooting in a plant environment.
• Familiarity with process safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to resolve operational issues promptly.
• Monitor process performance and adjust to maintain optimal operating conditions.
• Assist in process improvements and minor capital projects.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for deviations and equipment failures.
• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations; participate in audits.
