Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in chemical process design and project engineering.
• Proficiency with process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS or Pro/II.
• Strong understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals and plant operations.
• Experience with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API).
• Excellent technical drawing interpretation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and preliminary design packages for new chemical plants and process modifications.
• Perform mass and energy balances, equipment sizing, and preliminary cost estimations.
• Conduct hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies and safety reviews to ensure inherent process safety.
• Select appropriate materials of construction and critical process equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) to develop detailed designs.
