Placements24 in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to optimize plant operations and drive continuous improvement. This on-site role collaborates with production, maintenance, and quality teams to boost productivity and reduce waste.

You will analyze processes, implement lean methods (5S, Kaizen, VSM), design layouts, monitor KPIs, and support automation projects while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years hands-on industrial engineering experience.
• Strong data analysis, SPC and simulation skills.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and production planning.
• Excellent problem solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with staff at all levels.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Visio and Excel; on-site Mossel Bay.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze plant operations and workflows to identify efficiency gains.
• Develop and implement process optimization, waste reduction and cost controls.
• Design and layout facilities and equipment for optimal flow.
• Collect and analyze production data to guide decisions.
• Apply lean techniques (5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping).
• Collaborate with production, maintenance and QA to resolve issues.
• Set and monitor KPIs for plant operations; maintain SOPs.
• Support new technologies and automation initiatives on site.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance in operations.
