Placements24 is seeking a diligent Industrial Engineer to join their Mossel Bay operations in a hybrid role. You will analyze production processes, map workflows, and implement Lean and Six Sigma improvements to boost efficiency and quality.

With 2–4 years of experience and a solid grounding in industrial engineering, you will collaborate with production teams, develop standard operating procedures, and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field is required.
• 2–4 years of experience in industrial engineering, preferably in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Lean principles and Six Sigma tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in process mapping and data analysis software.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for hybrid collaboration.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
• Proactive in identifying and addressing operational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing and operational processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Design and document optimized workflows and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct time studies, motion studies, and value stream mapping.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and line workers to gather insights and implement changes.
• Track and report on KPIs related to efficiency and cost.
• Assist in the development of production schedules and resource allocation plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all process improvements.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support broader operational goals.
• Contribute to the development of long-term operational improvement strategies.
