Job summary

ENSafrica in Cape Town is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join the Accounts team, reporting to the Senior Payroll Specialist. The role involves monthly payroll input, starters and leavers, and close liaison with HR to resolve queries.

You will manage benefits, assist external auditors, develop reports, and administer the annual salary increase process, while maintaining confidentiality and high accuracy under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Post matric qualification with payroll and HR administration training (including payroll legislation).
• 3–5 years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of African payroll advantageous.
• Experience with large payrolls (1000+ employees).
• Experience with Praxima payroll system advantageous.

Responsibilities

Job description

A vacancy for a Payroll Specialist has become available inthe Accounts team in Cape Town, reporting into the Senior Payroll Specialist.

A general outline of the position is as follows:

• Monthly processing of payroll inputincluding collating and processing information for starters and leavers
  
• Extensive liaison, relationship managementand quality control of the payroll software service provider.
  
• Liaison with human resources andresolution of queries pertaining to the payroll
  
• Co-ordination, analysis and capturing ofbenefits
  
• Assisting external auditors as and whenrequired in this area
  
• Developing reporting as and whenrequired
  
• Administration of the annual salaryincrease process
• Other ad hoc wider tasks as and whenrequired

Knowledge and skills:

• Proficiency in office administration andthe relevant computer software packages e.g. Microsoft Excel, Outlook andaccounts package (3E)

Qualifications andexperience:

This is a demanding but stimulating position which willrequire working outside of normal office hours, when necessary.
