Job summary

ENSafrica in Cape Town is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join the Accounts team, reporting to the Senior Payroll Specialist. The role involves monthly payroll input, starters and leavers, and close liaison with HR to resolve queries.

You will manage benefits, assist external auditors, develop reports, and administer the annual salary increase process, while maintaining confidentiality and high accuracy under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Post matric qualification with payroll and HR administration training (including payroll legislation).
• 3–5 years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of African payroll advantageous.
• Experience with large payrolls (1000+ employees).
• Experience with Praxima payroll system advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monthly payroll input processing for starters and leavers.
• Extensive liaison and quality control of payroll software provider.
• Liaison with HR and resolution of payroll queries.
• Coordination, analysis and capturing of benefits.
• Assisting external auditors as required.
• Developing reporting as required.
• Administration of the annual salary increase process.
• Other ad hoc wider tasks as required.
