Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience with VIP Payroll, Sage VIP, and PaySpace.
• Understanding of South African payroll regulations (PAYE, UIF, SDL) and labor laws.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Remote work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll on a bi-weekly/monthly basis.
• Calculate wages, deductions, taxes, and benefits accurately.
• Maintain employee payroll records (new hires, terminations, changes).
• Process payroll adjustments, manual checks, and off-cycle payments.
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and file payroll tax reports with government agencies.

Our client, a dynamic and growing professional services firm with operations in Sandton, Gauteng, ZA, is seeking a meticulous Payroll Specialist to join their HR and Finance support team. Key Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll accurately and efficiently for all employees on a bi-weekly/monthly basis.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote setting.
• Experience with a hybrid or remote work model is preferred.
