Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Payroll Specialist to manage bi-weekly or monthly payroll for employees based in Richards Bay. You will ensure timely, accurate payments while adhering to SA tax laws and company policies, handling data with confidentiality and precision.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of SA payroll processing experience, proficiency in VIP or Sage Payroll, and advanced Excel skills to maintain payroll integrity and support HR operations.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or equivalent in Payroll Management, Accounting, or related field.
• 3–5 years of payroll processing experience, SA context preferred.
• Proficiency with VIP or Sage Payroll and advanced Excel.
• Solid knowledge of SA payroll tax regs: PAYE, UIF, SDL.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll accurately and efficiently using payroll software.
• Ensure compliance with South African tax laws, UIF, SDL, and other deductions.
• Manage employee data related to payroll including new hires, terminations, and changes in salary or benefits.
• Reconcile payroll reports, identify and resolve discrepancies, and prepare documentation.
• Administer employee benefits, pension contributions and medical aid deductions.
• Respond to employee queries regarding payroll, deductions, and net pay.
