Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field required.
• 5–7 years of progressive ops management experience in non-profit or humanitarian sector preferred.
• Experience managing budgets, HR, logistics, and IT operations.
• Strong knowledge of governance, compliance, and donor requirements.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment with strong time management.

About the Role

Our client, a well-established charitable organization focused on humanitarian aid, is seeking a highly efficient and detail-oriented Operations Manager - Non-Profit to oversee its operational activities from a remote setting. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of the organization's programs and administrative processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing diverse operational functions, including logistics, human resources, finance, and IT, within a non-profit context. You will be responsible for optimizing processes, managing resources, and supporting the delivery of services across various projects, ensuring efficiency and impact for communities served by the organization, including those in the vicinity of Midrand, Gauteng .

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all aspects of the organization's daily operations, including logistics, procurement, and resource management. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Manage the organization's budget and financial controls, ensuring fiscal responsibility. Oversee human resource functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and donor requirements. Manage IT infrastructure and support, ensuring smooth technological operations. Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and service providers. Support program teams in achieving their objectives through effective operational support. Conduct operational reviews and implement improvements to streamline processes. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is advantageous. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in operations management, preferably within the non-profit or humanitarian sector. Proven experience in managing budgets, HR, logistics, and IT operations. Strong understanding of non-profit governance and compliance. Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment, demonstrating strong self-discipline and time management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams. Familiarity with the operating environment in Gauteng a plus.
