Job summary

ITM Africa is seeking an Operations Manager with 5–7 years of related experience to oversee operational policies, staffing, budgeting, and performance across departments in Gauteng. You will drive efficiency, ensure compliance and manage cross-functional initiatives to deliver targets and client value.

The role requires strong leadership, reporting and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement and revenue generation for the business development pipeline.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in HR, Business or Operations Management.
• 5–7 years’ relevant experience, including 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience in recruitment, staffing or labour outsourcing.
• Knowledge of South African labour legislation and workforce compliance.
• Strong leadership, reporting, budgeting and problem-solving skills.
• Proven client relationship and business development experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor operational policies, systems and procedures to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Identify process gaps, improve workflows and monitor operational targets.
• Coordinate activities across Operations, HR, Finance, Business Development and the Managing Director’s Office.
• Support cross-departmental projects, resolve operational bottlenecks and track action items.
• Support business development, client acquisition, proposal preparation and revenue generation.
• Contribute to quarterly targets, including 5 new clients, 15 outsourced placements and commercial training initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of sales opportunities, proposals and client commitments.
• Manage resources efficiently and support budgeting, forecasting, expenditure tracking and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements and operational standards.
• Identify operational risks, escalate issues and support audits and corrective actions.
• Monitor operational KPIs and track performance against quarterly targets.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the Managing Director.
• Communicate progress, challenges, risks and recommended corrective actions to management.
