Placements24 seeks a skilled Mine Surveyor specializing in open-pit operations near Randburg to join our client's team. You will measure, map and model mine sites to ensure excavation and development align with design plans, using modern surveying equipment and software.

The role requires a National Diploma or Degree in Mine Surveying or Geomatics, at least five years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GPS and Total Stations. Hybrid work and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Mine Surveying or Geomatics.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mine Surveyor in open-pit mining.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar surveying software.
• Experience with GPS, Total Stations and drone surveying technologies.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic surveys, volume calculations, and setting out of mine infrastructure and work areas.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment: total stations, GPS, laser scanners.
• Process and analyze survey data to produce maps and models.
• Collaborate with mine engineers, geologists, and production teams for survey support.
• Ensure compliance with survey standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
