Placements24 in Durban is seeking a meticulous Mine Surveyor to join our client’s operations in KwaZulu-Natal. This hybrid role combines on-site fieldwork with office-based data processing to deliver precise mine plans and compliant spatial data for planning and execution.

You will use total stations, GPS and laser scanners, maintain survey control networks, produce cross-sections and volumetric calculations, and prepare management reports while upholding health, safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mine Surveyor.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Surpac, and MinePlan.
• Knowledge of South African mining regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct precise surveys of open-pit and underground mining areas using total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
