Placements24 is seeking a hands-on Upstream Oil & Gas Field Engineer to join its Mossel Bay operations in the Western Cape. The role requires direct involvement in daily production facilities, monitoring well performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing optimization strategies on-site.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering, 4+ years of field experience, and a proven ability to work under pressure while ensuring safety and equipment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in petroleum or mechanical engineering is required.
• Minimum 4 years' field operations experience in upstream oil and gas.
• Experience with production operations, artificial lift, and well diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production operations and well performance.
• Identify and resolve operational problems and equipment malfunctions.
• Implement and optimize artificial lift systems.
• Oversee maintenance and ensure equipment integrity.
• Collaborate with geoscientists and drilling engineers.
• Prepare daily operational reports and recommendations.
