Job summary

Placements24 seeks a seasoned Facilities Engineer with offshore experience for Mossel Bay, Western Cape operations. You will oversee design, construction, maintenance, and modification of offshore oil and gas facilities to ensure safety and operational integrity.

You will collaborate with project teams, operations personnel, and external contractors to deliver high-performance infrastructure in a challenging marine environment. This is a key role within offshore development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of offshore facilities engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of offshore structural integrity, topsides processing, and subsea systems.
• Experience with RBI and asset integrity management.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of offshore facilities from conceptual design through decommissioning.
• Oversee maintenance programs, integrity management, and repair for offshore platforms and equipment.
• Ensure facility operations comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Coordinate with project teams for planning and execution of facility modifications and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and minimize downtime.
