Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to lead the QC team in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The role oversees all QC activities from incoming materials to final product verification, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

You will implement quality protocols, manage a team of inspectors, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. On-site role requiring strong leadership and defect-detection focus to protect product integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline is required.
• Minimum 5 years in quality control/assurance in manufacturing, with 2+ years in supervision.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and SPC / Pareto chart tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills are essential.
• Proven leadership ability and team development focus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily QC department operations, scheduling, task assignment, and performance monitoring.
• Develop and maintain QC procedures and documentation in line with ISO standards.
• Inspect production processes, finished goods, and raw materials for defects.
• Train and mentor QC inspectors on inspection techniques and specs.
• Investigate complaints and CAPA implementation to prevent recurrence.
• Analyze quality data and report KPIs to senior management.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure QC equipment is calibrated and testing methods are reliable.
• Promote a quality-first culture across the organization.
