Placements24 is seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Technician to manage the QA team in a fast-paced manufacturing site in Gauteng. You will lead daily QA operations, develop and maintain QA procedures, and ensure compliance with industry standards while driving continuous improvement.

The role requires 4+ years in QA within manufacturing, proven leadership, and strong analytical capabilities. ISO 9001 familiarity is a plus, with opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of QA experience in manufacturing.
• Proven lead/supervisory experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of QA principles, methodologies and tools.
• Experience with SPC and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily QA team operations and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Develop, implement and maintain QA procedures and standards.
• Conduct inspections/tests on materials, in-process items and finished products.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor junior QA technicians and drive training.
• Collaborate with production to resolve deviations.
• Ensure QA activities comply with regulations and company standards.
• Maintain records of checks, results and non-conformances.
• Participate in internal/external audits as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the quality system.
