Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Supervisor to oversee QA activities in their Cape Town manufacturing team. You will manage a team of inspectors, develop QC plans, and ensure products meet stringent standards, driving defects reduction and process improvements.

Key collaboration with Production, Engineering, and R&D is essential to maintain product quality and batch traceability while upholding ISO 9001 standards and CAPA actions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control/quality assurance within manufacturing.
• Proven experience supervising a team and managing QC operations.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and SPC techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision‑making skills.
• Proficiency in using quality control tools and software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train a team of quality control inspectors.
• Develop, implement, and maintain QA plans and procedures for all production lines.
• Conduct inspections and audits of materials and finished goods for specifications.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement CAPA actions.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain accurate records of testing, inspections, and non-conformances.
