Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Quality Control Supervisor for a hybrid role in Sandton, Gauteng. You will lead a team of quality inspectors, implement QA protocols, and collaborate with production management to ensure product integrity from raw materials to finished goods.

The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, maintain robust documentation, and ensure compliance with industry standards while balancing on-site supervision with remote administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of quality control/assurance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and SPC techniques.
• Data analysis and reporting skills.
• Ability to balance on-site and remote responsibilities in a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train a team of quality control inspectors.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and documentation.
• Conduct regular audits of production lines to ensure compliance and identify improvements.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and procurement to resolve issues.
• Manage incoming material inspections and finished product verification.
• Maintain quality records and prepare regular reports for management.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and process efficiency.
