Placements24 in East London is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to enhance efficiency and product quality on our client site. You will analyze existing processes, develop improved methods, and apply Lean principles to drive cost reductions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, 4+ years of experience, data-analysis expertise, and strong collaboration with production and quality teams. On-site position in the Eastern Cape region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in manufacturing process engineering.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and IE methods.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Familiarity with CAD and process simulation tools is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with staff and management.
• On-site work in East London; relocation if needed.

Responsabilités

• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and potential quality issues.
• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish optimal work methods and production standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and flow charts.
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing problems and implement corrective actions.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and technologies; ensure proper integration.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen) to drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor KPIs for production output, efficiency, and quality; generate reports.
• Participate in cross-functional teams for new product introductions and process validations.
• Ensure all implemented processes comply with safety and environmental regulations in East London.
