Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer for our Mahikeng, North West facility to optimize manufacturing processes on-site. You will drive lean initiatives, analyze production lines, and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs while collaborating with supervisors, operators, and quality teams.
The role emphasizes hands-on problem-solving, standardization through SOPs, and continuous improvement on the factory floor to deliver tangible efficiency gains.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years in industrial engineering focusing on manufacturing process improvement.
- Proven experience with lean manufacturing principles and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data analysis proficiency.
Responsabilités
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify efficiency gains and cost reductions.
- Implement lean methods: 5S, Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping.
- Conduct time studies and establish standard times to improve labor utilization.
- Develop and document SOPs for manufacturing processes.
- Assist design and layout of production lines and workstations for optimal workflow.
- Monitor performance and identify root causes of inefficiencies or quality issues.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement improvements and ensure adoption.
- Support introduction of new products/processes into manufacturing.
