Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Process Engineer for our mining equipment manufacturing operations in Rustenburg, North West. You will optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and ensure top quality and safety across heavy-duty production lines.

The role requires a strong mechanical engineering background, 5+ years of process engineering experience in heavy manufacturing or mining equipment, and hands-on knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in process engineering in heavy manufacturing or mining equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities; experience with process optimization.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Design and implement new production processes for mining equipment.
• Develop process documentation (flow charts, SOPs, work instructions).
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with design, R&D and production to ensure manufacturability.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pilot tests for new technologies.
• Monitor KPIs and report trends.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• Lead or participate in Lean/Six Sigma improvement projects.
• Provide technical support and training to production teams.
