Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Production Efficiency Engineer to join our Rustenburg team. The role focuses on analyzing production lines, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing strategies to optimize output and reduce waste.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, have 3+ years in manufacturing, and demonstrate strong lean, process mapping, and problem-solving skills to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
At least 3 years of experience in a production or industrial engineering role.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Experience with performance analysis and process mapping.
Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
Good communication and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

Monitor production performance metrics and identify efficiency opportunities.
Analyze production processes from input to finished goods.
Apply lean tools to remove non-value-added activities.
Develop and standardize work procedures for consistent quality.
Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot and implement corrective actions.
Oversee new equipment or process tech implementations with minimal disruption.
