Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, VSM).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• CAD for layout design and visualization.
• Excellent communication and teamwork, capable of engaging all levels.
• Familiarity with SPC techniques and process documentation.
• Willing to relocate to the Rustenburg area.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the industrial sector, is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their operations team in Rustenburg, North West . This is an on-site position crucial for the continuous optimization of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in industrial engineering principles, coupled with hands-on experience in a production environment. You will be responsible for analyzing existing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions to improve productivity, quality, and safety. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with shop-floor personnel and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
• Develop, implement, and document new or improved manufacturing methods and standards.
• Design plant layouts and workflows to optimize the use of space, equipment, and personnel.
• Conduct time studies and establish standard production times for various operations.
• Implement and manage lean manufacturing initiatives to eliminate waste and improve productivity.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues.
• Evaluate and recommend new equipment, tooling, and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Train production staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices.
• Monitor production performance against established metrics and identify areas for corrective action.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering role.
• Proven experience with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in CAD software for layout design and process visualization.
• Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Rustenburg area.
