Job summary

Be Different Recruitment is seeking a hands-on IT Support professional to provide desktop and server assistance on-site in Johannesburg. You will manage accounts, resets, and hardware setups while supporting internal web apps and services.

Expect to travel to data-centre facilities for physical server work, vendor coordination, and ongoing maintenance. A Matric certificate with IT certification plus 3+ years of experience is required.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate with IT certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a help desk or IT support role.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for on-site work.
• Solid understanding of desktop hardware and software installation.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day desktop, hardware and software support to staff, including accounts and password resets.
• Assist with server builds and live post-deployment monitoring.
• Travel to data-centre co-location facility for hardware changes.
• Request quotes and coordinate hardware repairs with vendors.
• Support and troubleshoot internal web applications and services, including outages.
• Draft and maintain SOPs, knowledge-base articles and reports.
