Placements24 is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide on-site technical help in Nelspruit. You will be the first line of support for hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and clear user communication.

The role requires hands-on experience with Windows systems, hardware troubleshooting, and basic network setup. Strong customer service and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in an IT Support Technician or similar help desk role.
• Strong understanding of Windows OS and common office apps.
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting and basic network setup.
• Customer service and clear communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Set up user accounts, manage permissions, and provide basic network troubleshooting.
• Respond to IT support tickets and document resolutions.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
• Perform routine IT system maintenance and updates as directed.
