Placements24 is seeking a proactive IT Support Technician to provide essential on-site technical assistance to staff in Mahikeng, North West. You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to maintain productivity and uptime.

The role requires solid knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and basic networking. You will install and configure equipment, set up user accounts, and contribute to a supportive IT environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or in a similar help desk role.
• Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with computer hardware, network infrastructure, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in Mahikeng.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-level IT support on-site for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems reported by users, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Assist with network connectivity issues, including Wi‑Fi and wired connections.
• Set up user accounts and manage access permissions.
• Perform routine system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
