Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced HR Generalist focused on Employee Relations to join our Mossel Bay team on-site. You will resolve grievances, conduct investigations, advise managers on compliance, and drive policy development in line with SA labor law.

The role requires a hands-on approach, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining discretion. You will contribute to HR strategy and ensure fair treatment across the organization in Mossel Bay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Law, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years HR experience with a focus on employee relations.
• Deep knowledge of South African labor legislation and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve employee grievances and disciplinary issues in a fair and timely manner.
• Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and misconduct, documenting findings and actions.
• Advise line managers on employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor legislation.
• Develop and implement HR policies ensuring clear communication and adherence.
• Support HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
• Promote a positive workplace culture through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, EEA, and BBBEE.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Contribute to HR projects to improve satisfaction and productivity.
