Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated HR Officer to join our Mossel Bay team. The role supports the HR Manager in implementing policies, managing employee relations, and contributing to recruitment, training, and payroll activities.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's in HRM, have 3–5 years generalist HR experience, and be familiar with SA employment law and HRIS systems. A collaborative, adaptable approach is essential in this coastal environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
• Strong knowledge of South African employment legislation.
• Experience with HR information systems (HRIS).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and administering HR policies and procedures.
• Manage onboarding, offboarding and maintain HR records.
• Support recruitment activities: advertising vacancies, screening CVs, coordinating interviews.
• Handle employee inquiries and provide HR guidance.
• Contribute to HR training program development and delivery.
• Assist with payroll administration and benefits management.
