Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist for a fully remote role based in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will advise management and staff on complex HR issues, handle investigations, and ensure fair application of policies while upholding SA labor law.

You will develop policy guidance, train managers, and maintain confidential records, contributing to a harmonious workplace and compliant operations across the region.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience focused on employee relations.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor law and its practical application.
• Proven experience in investigations, mediation, and dispute resolution.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve employee grievances, disputes, and conflicts in a timely and fair manner.
• Develop, implement, and interpret HR policies related to employee conduct and workplace relations.
• Provide guidance to managers and employees on complex employee relations issues and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with SA labor laws including BCEA, LRA, and EEA.
• Conduct training for managers and employees on conflict resolution, diversity, and workplace conduct.
• Maintain confidential and accurate records of employee relations activities and outcomes.
