Placements24 is assisting a well-established manufacturing company in Vereeniging, Gauteng to recruit a Helpdesk Support Analyst. You will be the first point of contact for employees, diagnosing issues, resolving incidents, and escalating when necessary to keep IT services running smoothly on-site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support.
• Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems and common office productivity software.
• Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and basic networking concepts.
• Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems.
• On-site work at the Vereeniging location during business hours.
• A Matric certificate is essential; IT-related certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
• Log, track, and resolve IT support requests and incidents using the helpdesk system.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software.
• Assist with user account management and access permissions.
• Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff or relevant vendors.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
• Ensure all IT support activities are carried out efficiently and according to company policies.
• Contribute to IT asset management and inventory control.
• Provide basic training to users on common software and hardware issues.
