Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Helpdesk Support Analyst to join our client’s Vereeniging team. This on-site role supports employees with hardware, software, and network issues, managing tickets, and maintaining IT systems.

The ideal candidate will bring strong Windows and Office knowledge, experience with ServiceNow/Jira, and a proactive, customer-focused approach to issue resolution in a corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a helpdesk or IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with IT service desk software such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to assist users at all technical levels.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site in Vereeniging, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve user-reported problems using diagnostic tools and remote access software.
• Manage IT support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with users.
• Assist with user account management, including setup, modification, and termination.
• Perform routine system checks, updates, and preventative maintenance.
• Document support procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
• Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff or specialized teams.
• Collaborate with IT colleagues on infrastructure projects and system enhancements.
• Ensure adherence to IT policies, security standards, and data protection regulations.
