Job summary

Placements24 partners with a prominent financial services group in Randburg, Gauteng, to appoint a Financial Controller who will oversee on-site accounting operations, including reporting, GL, AP/AR, and compliance with IFRS and SA standards. You will lead the finance team and collaborate with auditors to ensure accuracy and integrity.

The role requires 8+ years of progressive financial management, a professional designation (CA(SA)/ACCA/CPA), and strong leadership with expertise in SAP/Oracle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional accounting designation (CA(SA), ACCA, CPA) is required.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting/financial management experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS and South African accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the accounting department including general ledger, AP, AR, and payroll.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws and company policies.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and data integrity.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management.
