The role requires 8+ years of progressive financial management, a professional designation (CA(SA)/ACCA/CPA), and strong leadership with expertise in SAP/Oracle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional accounting designation (CA(SA), ACCA, CPA) is required.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting/financial management experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS and South African accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the accounting department including general ledger, AP, AR, and payroll.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent financial services group, is seeking a highly competent Financial Controller to manage their accounting operations in **Randburg, Gauteng, ZA**. This is an on-site position requiring full dedication to overseeing the financial health of the organization. You will be responsible for managing financial reporting, general ledger functions, accounts payable/receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements within the **Banking & Finance** sector. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, results-driven professional with extensive experience in financial management and a strong leadership aptitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
• Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide insights to senior management.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
