Job summary

Placements24 seeks an accomplished Project Manager to lead major engineering and construction projects in the oil and gas sector from Sandton. You will oversee all lifecycle phases, ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, and maintain quality standards in a hybrid work setting.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Engineering, PMP preferred, 10+ years in oil and gas, proven track record on large-scale capital projects, and strong leadership and contractor management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; PMP preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive project management in oil and gas.
• Proven track record managing large-scale capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and techniques.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management.
• Experience with contract management and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of engineering and construction projects (scope, schedule, budget, resources).
• Develop comprehensive project plans with clear milestones and metrics.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders for seamless execution.
• Identify and manage project risks with mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Monitor progress, provide status reports and manage change orders.
