Placements24 seeks an accomplished Project Manager to lead key upstream operations projects in Sandton. The role spans initiation to closure, within the oil and gas sector, with responsibility for scope, budget, schedule, resources and risk.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with 10+ years of PM experience, PMP certification, and a proven track record delivering large capital projects. This senior, high-visibility position offers significant responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical) and PMP certification.
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in upstream oil and gas.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale capital projects from inception to completion.
• Experience with PMI or Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with senior management.
• Develop detailed project plans with schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Manage execution, monitor progress, and take corrective actions.
• Oversee procurement, contracting, and vendor management.
• Lead project teams and foster high-performance collaboration.
• Report status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
