Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to manage upstream oil and gas projects in the Sandton area. You will oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring safety, timeliness, budget adherence, and quality.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in project engineering in the upstream sector, with strong leadership, communication, and contract management skills, in Gauteng. This role requires on-site collaboration with internal teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in project engineering and management in Oil & Gas, upstream focus.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects, manage scope and budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and close-out of upstream oil and gas projects.
• Develop detailed plans with scope, budget, schedule, and risks.
• Oversee procurement, contractor selection and contract management.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and HSE regulations.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to stay on track.
• Report status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
