Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an entry level NOC Network Support Engineer in a hybrid Johannesburg environment. You will support and maintain network infrastructure under supervision, collaborating with senior engineers to design, implement, and troubleshoot solutions to ensure reliable communications.

Qualifications

• Fundamental networking knowledge required.
• Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls and access points preferred.
• Willingness to learn new networking technologies and concepts.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, access points).
• Ensure configurations follow best practices and are documented.
• Monitor network performance, availability and security with the network team.
• Assist in troubleshooting network incidents and problems to minimize downtime.
• Create and update technical documentation including diagrams and procedures.
• Collaborate with security to implement firewall rules, IDS and access controls.
