Placements24 is seeking an experienced Claims Manager to lead the Motor Claims division in Rustenburg, North West. The role oversees end-to-end claim processing, driving efficiency, fairness, and customer satisfaction while managing a team of claims handlers in the Rustenburg office.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in motor claims management, strong leadership skills, and deep knowledge of motor insurance products, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in insurance claims management with motor focus.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of motor vehicle insurance products, claims procedures, and legislation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience in budgeting and cost control.
• Proficiency in claims management software and MS Office.
• Ability to work under pressure in a North West setting.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Insurance, Business Admin, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Motor Claims department from initiation to settlement.
• Develop, implement and monitor claims handling procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
• Supervise and mentor a team of claims assessors and administrators.
• Analyze claims data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Ensure timely and fair settlement of motor claims and manage high-value cases.
• Control claim costs through negotiation, fraud detection and repair networks.
• Maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders and policyholders.
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and company policies in Rustenburg.
• Develop strategies to enhance customer experience in the claims process.
• Report on claims performance metrics to senior management.
