Placements24 is seeking a Senior Claims Manager for its motor vehicle claims division in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. The role requires strategic leadership, strong claims expertise, and a track record of managing large teams while ensuring efficiency and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee complex motor claims, collaborate with providers and legal partners, and drive cost controls and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in motor vehicle insurance claims
• 5+ years in a managerial role
• Strong leadership and people development abilities
• Excellent knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management
• Experience with high-value/complex motor claims

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of claims handlers, assessors and support staff.
• Develop and implement efficient claims handling strategies.
• Monitor performance metrics and optimize outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, regulatory guidelines and policies.
• Manage budget and resource allocation.
• Handle complex/high-value motor claims with expert guidance.
• Foster relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
• Oversee fraud detection and prevention measures.
• Drive continuous improvement in claims experience for policyholders.
• Represent the department in senior management discussions.
