Job summary

Hexagon Mining seeks a Hardware Technician to provide site-based and remote system support across the region, deploying new and upgraded mining systems at customer sites.

You will troubleshoot basic software and OS configurations, develop procedures and reports, and escalate technical issues as needed, working with Project Managers to ensure on-time, on-budget deployments and strong customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• N6 with trade test or higher in Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years mining industry hardware experience.
• Fluency in English; French is an added advantage.
• Remote team experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define and review project proposals and plans with colleagues and customers.
• Execute projects including definition of phases, elements and schedule.
• Determine project specifications by studying product design and customer requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates.
• Loading of basic configurations, upgrades and operating systems onto computing equipment following change management.
• Maintain and control projects following standard PM practices including monitoring progress.
